adding bird then freezes??

Whenever I try to add a bird (not every time) it kicks me to the blue screen, to click add a bird, then it tries to save a file and freezes up. HELP please?

Dianna – Apologies for the late reply. That is not good news. Have you been able to add a bird now? Is the problem persisting?

I have been experiencing the same thing(not every time) since becoming a member on 12/14/2008. The advice that I have received from the website creators, have not solved the problem either.

Maurice -

Are you using Explorer, Firefox, or Safari? Try the same process on Firefox and let me know if it persists. Sorry for the frustration.

Hi Ben, I`m using Explorer. Apparently the problem is caused by an “Error Lock”. If you enter incorrect details into the “Add a bird” input window and then re-correct those details and click on “Add to my list”, that is when the freeze occurs. I get round it by just entering the name of the bird and the date of sighting and then click on “Add to my list”. If I wish to add further details regarding the sighting,I do it after “mapping” the sighting. Hope you get the gist of what I`m trying to explain? It seems to work ok.
